Workplace Warfare

Workplace Warfare

2Corinthians 10 vs 3,4…

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh; (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Workplace drama anyone ? Office politics ? Backstabbing co-workers at the water cooler ?

Modern day plantations still have house Negroes and field Negroes,  instead of cotton and corn ,we hurl just about everything else at our masters bidding. Field Negroes can work from the luxury of their own homes now….cause they free, and house Negros now have made it all the way to the big house, literally, sharing big time positions at major companies around the globe. Historical tensions aside between the house and field negro, there were some that looked out for each other….sharing, food , clothing, shelter and information amongst each other. As much as things have changed, they always remain the same.

Don’t forget your history and where you have come from.

Acts 18:1-3…After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla….And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought; for by thier occupation they were tent makers.

Are you a house or field negro ?

Tobit 2:11And my wife Anna did take women’s work to do.

Sadly, there are many that have expressed that the( modern day ) Israelite woman that is well educated and employed is less likely to repent and humble down to the scriptures, and hold her husband in high esteem….( and it is true in  A LOT of cases ) I’ve witnessed it with my own eyes, and been there done that…..all out of order. I would much rather work all this temporary stuff out in this lifetime, so I can reap real eternal rewards when our Savior returns.

[one-fourth] [image src=” http://www.staging-mar252018.thedaughtersofsarah.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/black-man-and-woman-arguing-378×3382.jpg” class=”-img border”/] [/one-fourth]

The struggle for equality in the workplace has given many women a superiority complex at home….and in many ways this world has made attempts to emasculate our men to feel as thou they are not worthy to provide for his own since the days of physical slavery.  An repentant Israelite man will be angry if he cannot provide for his house because the world is not only against him, but his woman also if she is using her worldly finances to belittle him ,  since now she has to take a more dominant role to support the needs of the family….which is against the natural order. The unemployment rates among minority men, and single parent households run by women are staggeringly high. The  repentant Israelite woman who is working is angry often because she is supporting the family single handed and thus spiritually struggling to maintain proper balance between work and her natural order of being submissive to her husband, and the challenges are at times overwhelming. There must be a  mutual understanding between a righteous commandment keeping husband and wife on how the household will be in peace, from beyond dishes to diapers and daycare , bills and money…especially the lack thereof  to acknowledging that regardless of positions and titles at a woman’s’ place of business or occupation, her husband is still head of the household.

[star]
  • Apocrypha Book of Sirach Chapter 25 vs 22….a woman, if she maintain her husband, is full of anger, impudence, and much reproach
  • Ecclesiastes 7 vs 7…surely oppression maketh a wise man mad….
  • Jeremiah 31 vs 22…How long wilt thou go about, O thou back sliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
[/star]

1 Corinthians 11 vs 3….But i would have you know, that the head  of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Sisters’ when the Savior comes, it is not going to matter what degree status, salary or amount of worldly possessions you have….IF, you did not build your foundation on the commandments of the Heavenly Father and apply them. Needless to say that many repentant Israelite women are in the workforce today, doing various amounts of jobs. From college internships, medical and administrative fields and so forth. Several questions have arrived in my e-mail box so we will address the topic head on.

This is an e-mail I just received….

Shalom!

I just had question for you. I’m pretty new to the truth, I’ve been in it for about 6 months and this is the first time my husband and I won’t be celebrating “holidays”. I was wondering if you could write a blog/info about how to deal with the upcoming holidays in the workplace. I’m a new leasing consultant for an apartment community that isn’t doing so well at the moment and it involves a lot of marketing, building relationships and interaction with people and residents. I love the job! But I’m just wondering what is the best way to deal with all of the “Ok, Have a great Thanksgiving!” or “Merry Christmas to you!” Or how was your holiday?!” I know to probably just say “Thank you but I don’t celebrate it” but it just seems odd to yell that to them when they yell it on their way out the door. I briefly told my boss that I don’t celebrate it but we haven’t discussed how we’ll deal with the holiday marketing, etc. ANY suggestions. Or can you write an article on this topic? I would LOVE to get other people’s opinion!
Thank you!

Zahira

Shamarah’s reply….
Shalom sis…’O.K’, will do…funny another sister just asked me some workplace advice also…..
In the meantime your “religious ‘ beliefs should not have any negative output on your job because the other nations deal with it all the time.It is only a problem when we as a people wake out of sleep….the workplace is a chess game, know the key players and how to get around so you don’t break the commandments. Plan your schedule in advance for the Sabbaths and feasts so when you are aware of affairs that may place you in an uncomfortable position you may be prepared to take a gracious exit..In the mean time, just saying nothing and changing the subject , or “You enjoy YOUR holiday, or I celebrate Hanukkah( Feast of Dedication ) not X-mas…that may ease some of the tension that you may be feeling. As far as advertising, is concerned you still need to do your job, however going to holiday parties, holiday decorating, gift exchange, wearing  a Santa hat for networking would not be something that you should EVER do, those things should be delegated to someone else. Because as a repentant Israelite we do not celebrate pagan holidays, you can work on days when many of your co-workers would like the day off, this may be a fair compromise depending on your employer. If your immediate supervisor asks , simply explain that you are not comfortable doing this that or the other and would gladly take on another assignment at work. Because you are new you will still be asked, someone will still want to leave a card at your desk…..just throw it in the garbage… as you become more grounded, the invites and cards stop coming….(lol) Because the politically correct thing is never to talk politics, race, sex, or religion at the workplace…..keep your conversations professional only, the whys, and what nots do not have to be discussed because it is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS….
Thanks for asking the question, I hope this helps!
P.S
I am going to use it as an intro to a  post on the blog… ( workplace wars or workplace warfare )what do you think?
Pray all is well,
Sharing the journey
Shamarah

Romans 12 vs 18….If it be possible, as  much as lieth in you , live peaceably with all men.

Proverbs 16 vs 7…When a mans’ ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
During various stages of my career I have faced many work related challenges, encountered several demons and had to slay many dragons along the way. I’ve experienced a lot , seen and heard a lot of madness at modern day plantations…..
Apocrypha Book of Sirach Chapter 34 vs 9,10…
A man that hath travelled knoweth many things; and he that hath much experience will declare wisdom. He that hath no experience knoweth little; but he that hath travelled is full of prudence.
So these are several of the most common issues, and trust me sisters I’ve been there and your not alone.
There is an expression that says, ” It’s not personal, it’s business “…..Truth is it’s neither. “It’s spiritual “
Let the time clock begin…..

Dress Code…

Deut 22 vs 5…
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a womans’ garment; for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God

I have been in the work force for a long time and I can tell you appearance, presentation, and hygiene count.During high school I had several internships at fashion showrooms, on one of my first interviews the feedback that my guidance counselor was given about me was  that I had all the qualifications and could speak well, talent yada, yada….” but I looked impoverished“.
Never forgot it….you must look the part of the job you aspire to be in this captivity….truth hurts.
Brush your teeth , Comb your hair. Wash!!!
[/two-third]
Yes, you must be able to look good for massa….so instead of getting oiled up on the auction block….you put on your best attire to get  work. Look like a lady.
Apocrypha Book of Sirach Chapter 19 vs 29… A man may be known by his look, and one that hath understanding by his countenance, when thou meetest him.
Earlier in my management growth, I worked for a major international retail brand that had a heavy focus on denim and khaki, great employee discount and workers were “encouraged” to wear the company merchandise to display brand loyalty and increase sales. Well in my rebellion it was not so easy to put those jeans away! My husband gave me plenty of time, but I kept putting it off…because I mean it can’t be all that bad right? It’s only my job!!!
Apocrypha Book of Sirach Chapter 32 vs 17… A sinful man will not be approved, but findeth an excuse according to his will
One day I came home from work and EVERY single denim and khaki jean or pair of pants…even the ones that were hidden were shredded up and in the garbage…( my husband had declared time to repent was up !! ) After the initial shock wore off, I got my wardrobe together. I wore the same denim skirt to work for almost two weeks until pay day, and started building up my wardrobe from there. Once my spirit opened up, I could “see” the many options that were available.. I worked there for almost eight years…..dresses, skirts, jackets galore and haven’t looked back since.
There are many business fields that have a mandatory “uniform” established in most employee handbooks. You must adhere to  a certain standard for employment. Note, there are always exceptions and reasonable accommodations that can be exchanged.Where you work, what your responsibilities are, and how you will reflect the company image has alot to do with dress code guidelines that are established by most organizations. Some occupations, like certain school districts, schools or daycare centers, warehouses, and call centers you may have a very relaxed dress code, and you may be able to wear whatever you like including keeping  the law on fringes and border of blue on all your clothing.
Do your research, understand the basics upfront. Ladies , in some cases this may include how you wear your hair, nails and makeup….( translation…not hood or ghetto lol )
Depending on what type of employment you have it may require that you have written documentation in your human resources file, or establishing your inability to wear pants at the pre-employment level. In addition, if you are in any type of employment that is considered to be ” dangerous”, or a traditional male form of employment, such as the military, law enforcement, security, etc., and additional dress code options are not available because of safety risks to yourself or the public….. you may have to consider a transfer within the dept. or find another means of employment. Talk with your employer !!
In the past several years , there have been several lawsuits that have been brought on by women , as they felt discriminated against by their employer of various faiths.
Consider the following articles…
Sexual Harassment/Inappropriate behavior
Exodus 20 vs 14…Thou shalt not commit adultery

Apocryphra Book of Sirach Chapter 9 vs 9…Sit not at all with another mans’ wife, nor sit down with her in thine arms, and spend not thy money with her at the wine; lest thine heart incline unto her, and so through thy desire thou fall into destruction.
1Corinthians 6 vs 18…Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

  6. Helen Luchin says:

    Dear Mrs. Shamarah:

I am a newborn to the truth. I feel as though I am in solitary confinement since I have left the church.

Would you happen to have of any resources you are able to share on how I can connect with other repentant Israelite sisters in the Sacramento, CA area?

Thank for your wonderful blog of comfort.

    Warm regards,
    Helen Luchin

  7. I enjoyed this article. I’m a security officer. I have to wear pants. I have to see if they are willing let me wear a skirt. Keep me in prayer sisters. Shalom

  8. I am new to being Isrealite. And my question is. Should I discuss my beliefs in the workplace? People there know what I believe (a few do) or could it cause problems with my job? If so I won’t talk at all about it.

    • Use wisdom while at work. If you know in advance you will lose your job then Matt10:16 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

  9. Ty'Myra Israel says:

    Shabbat Shalom sisters.
All praises to the Most High for waking me up to this truth and introducing me to Israel United in Christ.
I’m new in this truth and am a single mother. The hardest thing for me is employment. I’ve been keeping the Sabbath holy and I will always.
I’ve turned down several job opportunities because they would not honour the Sabbath.
I’m at a lost now because I am a single mother and I have a new career opportunity All praises to The Most High and 2 things: my first day is Monday and I have to wear pants and what if they don’t honour the Sabbath? I’m so lost because the job i have now is not a very good one. The Most High has been blessing me now that I am repenting, and this job could really be the financial help for my son and I.
    Shalom
