The Israelite Child & … Learning to keep the Commandments
[clear/]
Israelite Ancient Spring of Truth Academy
Isaiah 58:11-12, “And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a waterered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.”

That vision came to fruition in 2008, in a small house located in a drug ridden, crime infested neighborhood. We had ‘hand me down’ furniture and newspaper on the floor to eat on. However, with the investment and vision of a better education for our children, my husband was able to make our house livable to stay in and began homeschooling our three youngest children at that time. After three years of living in the neighborhood, with patience and diligence, (and enduring a few attempted burglaries), my husband was able to move our family into another house through the favor of the most High. Within our current home, we converted one room into a classroom. When we first came into the knowledge of our true heritage as Israelites a little over a year ago, my husband was encouraged to begin teaching our true history to our children and further developing their education. His vision had now included a school for all Israelite children that is rooted in the laws of the most High.At that time, we were teaching our children the Hebrew Alphabet and sounds. However, when we began learning under the sound teaching of Israel United in Christ, we changed our curriculum to focus on the laws, statutes, and commandments of the Bible. Our focus, during the week, was on the core subjects of reading, writing, and math; but, on the Sabbaths, we are able to focus on courses in our own Israelite History.
Through the foundational school of Israelite Ancient Spring of Truth Academy, we teach our children their relevance in world history and, more specifically, their Biblical history as Israelites. Before they even start their class day, our children do a roll call. This roll call takes place during their regular homeschool days as well as the Sabbath days. The children make sure all are in order, from the oldest to the youngest, from the boys first, to the girls last. Everyone has to be in line. When order is set and the children are ready to enter, it proceeds as this:
Israel, attention!
Most High in Christ Blessed!
(nod from the teacher (parent)):
“I’m an Israelite from the tribe of Judah from the seed of Abraham!”
“That’s right!”
The rest of the students repeat their heritage and we all follow with the affirmation. As each child enters, they stand in place (boys stand at attention) next to their desks. Everyone faces in the direction of East and recites the following once all the children have entered:
“Israel, who’s the king?”
“Christ!”
“Israel, attention!” (pause) “Begin!”
(Students recite the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6:9) and the boys return to the submission stance.
“Israel, who’s the king?”
“Christ!”

During our nation’s captivity over the past four hundred years, America has taught us lies and allegiance to false doctrine. America strengthens itself with lies and deception, so we were inspired to be proactive against their deception and to form an allegiance of our own to help strengthen our own nation. Here is a small piece of history that self-explains why we must all act in faith and join the spiritual war that has taken place against the true nation of Israel.
“After first appearing in a copy of the Youth’s Companion in 1892, as a celebration of the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America, the pledge to the flag received the official recognition of Congress on June 22, 1942. The phrase, “under God,” was added to the pledge by Congress on June 14, 1954, by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who said that “in this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource in peace and war.””(from http://usa-the-republic.com/items%20of%20interest/flag%20code.html),
[two-third last]In order to rebuild our nation, we must first teach our children, since they are the next generation to come after us. My husband wrote a Prayer of Dedication to reaffirm unity and to reestablish allegiance to the laws of the most High.[/two-third]
(Students recite the ‘Commitment of Israel’s Dedication’)
“I commit my dedication to the Lamb, of the United Nation of Israel. And under the Moses Law, for which it stands, 12 tribes in covenant under the most High to come together in love, forever. So be true (or Amen)”
So, this is the way the children enter the classroom. It teaches them the relevance of their own nation’s history. Yes, it is very formal and militant, but we wanted to convey to our children the understanding and the seriousness of our heritage. We also Instruct them on the importance of learning the traditions of their ancestors, which never consisted of weak savages, Mexicans, or niggers. But, that they come from a true line of Israelite warriors and virtuous women who feared the most High and kept the laws of the Bible.
Ecclesiasticus (Apocrypha) 44:1-4,
1 Let us now praise famous men, and our fathers that begat us.
2 The Lord hath wrought great glory by them through his great power from the beginning.
3 Such as did bear rule in their kingdoms, men renowned for their power, giving counsel by their understanding, and declaring prophecies:
4 Leaders of the people by their counsels, and by their knowledge of learning meet for the people, wise and eloquent are their instructions

These topics, in addition to many others, are taught to our children by using different forms of media and literature to be suitable for their age and level of understanding. We frequently utilize a projector and projection screen to show our children visual representations of what point we are conveying. We also use a document camera that will project physical items such as books, illustrations or other materials, which may not be available online, so that our children can all see them at the same time. For their free reading time on the Sabbaths or High Holy Days, we allow our children to read the Bible (of course), study their notes from previous daily or Sabbath day online classes, and books that describe our people’s history.

We will select movies for them in particular categories under the condition that they must give account for at least ten scriptures (precepts) that explains the movie according to their own level of understanding. If they don’t meet that expectation, then they are not allowed to watch movies until they can sufficiently meet their task and take it seriously. Of course, they all like watching movies, so they usually do their best in taking notes during the presentation. For the younger ones, their responsibilities are not only to follow along, but to draw or describe matters in the movie according to what they can understand. This allows our children, at the Israelite Ancient Spring of Truth Academy, to begin to understand spiritual matters.
Within our lessons, the children have to demonstrate what they have learned and show this in many different ways. For example, the children made an Israelite Alphabet Chart for the youngest Israelites in our Texas congregation. The children came up with words and a picture to represent each letter of the alphabet using a word from the Bible. Instead of ‘A-apple’, the children decided to put ‘A- ark’, ‘P- Passover’, ‘T- Trumpet’, etc. It was a great job! Another example of a product the children created from their Bible lessons was a 10 Commandment Handprint. This was created by the children pressing their hands in washable paint and imprinting their prints on construction paper. After the paint dried, the children cut out or wrote the 10 commandments and glued each one above each painted finger. Then they had to recite the commandments and explain them according to their level of understanding. Other times, the children can describe to us what they have learned, complete a short quiz or test on our Israelite history and laws, or practice explaining precepts that review what they have learned.
Our children also like to play games and we incorporate the Bible as it applies. Sometimes, we allow them to create games on their own.

It was more of a ‘precept’ game where, depending on the card that was played; the player had to call out a scripture pertaining to the card. For instance, if a child pulled a ‘King’, he/she would say a scripture from the books of 1st or 2nd Kings. If the child pulled a ‘2’ card, they would have to say a scripture reference and scripture that contained a 2 in its reference (John 8:32, or Revelation 12:14, etc.). If the child pulled a ‘Jack’, they would have to say a scripture from a book of the Bible that begins with the letter J or quote a scripture containing a word that begins with that letter (i.e., James 1:16, Do not err, my beloved brethren.). They have also played a game on the dry erase board where they had to guess the precept based on a certain number of hints.
We have found numerous puzzles and games online as well to help our children learn the Bible. Our children enjoy doing Bible word searches while traveling to fellowship on Sabbaths and High Holy Days. We have encouraged our eldest child to create an Israelite Bible word search as well. During one Sabbath, the children played a ‘Books of the Bible Bingo’ where the two oldest boys called out a book from the Bible, and, with a counter/marker, the other children had to cover that book on their ‘card’ if they saw it on there. The one who had the card covered with place markers in a certain direction (diagonal, left to right, up and down, etc.) would win the game.

We begin with the Old Testament and go to the New Testament books as they are ready. They are currently working on learning the order of the books of the Apocrypha. Later, I would like them to recite other important items such as the order of Israelite captivities, order of the Idumean kingdoms, order of the lineage of Israel, etc. Our Israelite history curriculum constantly changes as we grow, which allows us to strategically teach more in depth. We study lessons and video teachings provided by Israel United in Christ so that the children can review their previous notes. This time also allows us to review those topics from the lessons, which gives the children a better understanding. We encourage them to read, and though we are not teaching specific reading skill lessons, the children use the critical thinking skills and increase their reading abilities as well. On one lesson, the children took the items listed in the mission statement of Israel United in Christ and created an illustration with each description. They made all of those pages into a book, complete with illustrations and scriptures and described to us what they learned.
Our goal is to restore and unite our nation to the inheritance of independence and self-sufficiency that our ancestors knew so well. By the wisdom of the most High, our dream is to leave a legacy through the Israelite Ancient Spring of Truth Academy that every child in our nation may have a first class education that is unbiased, as opposed to America’s failing school system. And we pray that our children’s’ education is second to none. As we strive for excellence, we pray that the most High send laborers to help build this vision that is much too big for one family to do.

Thank you for the article. Again, I am new to being awakened. It helped enlighten my path for Sabbath teaching with the children. I shared the article with my husband.
Shalom
Love this! Most definitely taking notes. All praises!
This is key. My husband and I need to ensure our 2 boys are brought up knowing who they are and understand this world we live in and their place.
