Natural ways to detox

What is a Detoxification?

Detoxification is the body’s natural, ongoing process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs, skin, blood and lymphatic systems which work together to ensure that toxins are properly processed for elimination.

Anyone considering a detox diet should consult a qualified health professional and/or their medical doctor first. Pregnant or nursing women or children shouldn’t go on a detox diet. People with certain health conditions such as liver or kidney disease should detox under the supervision of their primary care provider. It is not intended for alcohol or drug detoxification.
While the human body eliminates everyday toxins from the body, too many of us overload our systems with a level of toxins that our bodies simply can’t keep up with. Many of the chemicals we ingest daily through water, food, and air can become stored in our bodies fat cells. Toxins include household cleaners, detergents, pesticides, antibiotics and hormones in food, chemicals from food packaging, and food additives. Poor dieting and lack of exercise does contribute to the way our bodies eliminates waste.

Exercise

While exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. Engaging in physical activity, keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases. The body is engineered to heal itself to get rid of toxins and to keep the body running as efficiently as possible. With exercise you clean all of your internal organs at the same time. Exercise accelerates the detoxification process. As you exercise, the blood circulates throughout the body, bringing nutrients to all the organs and muscles. In fact, regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.

Shalom sister! What is a good no meat fast for a whole week? Thank you.Shalom…

    • Shalom, A “Fast” is not putting anything in your mouth not even your toothbrush for a period of 24hrs. Isaiah 58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? Jonah 2:5-7 …Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water.
If you are trying to do a meat detox for a week then any meat you chose. Research which meat takes the longest to digest. You may want to do all meats except fish.
