The events of the past week regarding the historic hurricane that the Lord sent has sent many shock waves around the world. There are many who have lost everything, and have no resources to even attain the basics needs (Sirach 29:21).  The media has focused their attention on the weathy and the destruction that occurred in major communities in the northeast United States, Cuba and arts of Haiti, and Caribbean countries which were hit hard as well.  In fact, many of our fellow kinsmen have been living in these very same conditions for many years based on greed of the governments that conquered them and now through the judgement of the Most High.  The tide has truly turned.

For those who are in the faith of Christ, it is a time to reflect on the Heavenly Fathers’ mercy. We need to be acknowledging The Most High power and might, and be ever so grateful for another day and chance to repent in his laws, statutes and commandments before the Great Day of the Lord.

Before the storm hit, there was plenty of people running around preparing, flashlights, batteries, food, and shelter for what many thought was going to be nothing major. It came at night and many people were in for a serious wake-up call.

Preparing for the ultimate judgement day of the Lord is something we should be doing all the time (Matthew25:13), not just when a  physical or spiritual storm is approaching.
