A Womans’ Work

A Womans’ Work

Topic : Work

Tobit 2 vs 11…and my wife Anna took woman’s work  to do.

Apocrypha   Ecc. 11 vs. 21

Marvel not at the works of sinners; but trust in the Lord, and abide in thy labour; for it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord on the sudden to make a poor man rich.

Some of us have dreams of what it would be like to hit the lotto and gain a fortune overnight….Are you spiritually ready for it ? The Lord knoweth!

So while you are waiting to cash in your winning ticket, still lay out your clothes for the next work day because more than likely you have to report to a job!!! To the modern day plantations of this world….or if you are a stay at home mom and work from home the 3 am. alarm  call of a crying baby….so get up!!!

There are those that say that the Proverbs 31 woman is a myth.,

( specifically verses 10-28 ) I beg to differ,  as repentant Isrealite women this  chapter should be a goal that we demonstrate through our  works and strive towards attaining as an example……in working in the  modern day work force or at home

Proverbs 31 vs 1….the words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him

I am always moved by this verse alone because it is a reflection of how important a mothers’ role  ( her primary job ) is in her children’s  life and that she TAUGHT him according to the scriptures….and the characteristics to look for in a wife….who better to explain than his mother….

Whos’ who in the bible

Lemuel ( hebrew  means …dedicated )….King of Maasa mentioned in the book of Proverbs, who was taught by his mother that kings should not waste their  energies pursuing women or taking strong drink but should ‘ judge righteously”, and look after the poor and needy…( Proverbs 31; 1-9 )

Apocrypha  Ecc 25 vs. 22,23…..a woman if she maintain her husband is full of anger, impudence, and much reproach……..

This is the black and Latino woman’s nightmare….. if  her husband doesn’t work.  She has to work , cook and clean while  he (  the repentant   Isrealite  man) stays home. Sisters bear in mind that  I am  referring to men of the Lord,   a man that is  keeping the scriptures and fears the MOST HIGH!…..not a man that  DOES NOT…..give credit where credit is  due….his actions and ways  will show.  Most  REPENTANT men of  faith would prefer to go to work, support  their family and let the woman stay at home, unfortunately due to the decline of the economic climate along with the negative stereotypes that  go along with being a minority male, this is usually not an easy feat. In this world society places the woman over the man .

(yes sisters it has gone to our heads & we have lost our minds ( literally our spiritual minds ). Instead of complaining and nagging, ( who  wants to come home to that? I did it too and nothing improved until  I  fixed  myself  first) How about lifting your man up., so he can fight during his time of afflictions, so that you can both eventually enjoy the fruits of your labor. Often times  ,  it is  just amazing the amount of talent a brother has, that just needs  support from his woman to help make him successful in this world. You name the business field, area of expertise and our brother’s in  Isreal   are the best and have  the game plan down ….. every nation on the planet knows that , trouble is  the enemy is always in the midst trying to stir up some mess…..watching, scheming, planning evil , etc……(so in the meanwhile  make sure the enemy is  not you , holding your man back, number one  spiritually, and also in all other aspects ) The only reason you may have a job and he does’nt or vice versa is because the Lord allowed it to be so. With  todays  economy it’s a blessing to have a job.

Ecclesiasticus 36:22-24
22The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance, and a man loveth nothing better. 23 If there be kindness, meekness, and comfort, in her tongue, then is not her husband like other men. 24 He that getteth a wife beginneth a possession, a help like unto himself, and a pillar of rest.

Eight, ten sometimes twelve (12 ) hours at work….it can be a home away from home.  Beware of working tooooo much,( I have done some crazy shifts and hrs and don’t have an extra dime to show for it ) I know we all have debts and desires in this captivity ; however don’t lose focus. Just remember that you are a servant of the Most High first, you still need time to study, and take care of your other primary jobs of being a wife and mother. It is very easy to get caught up in work affairs and bring that lifestyle home…..I may be the boss at work, but when I get home my husband is still the CEO……

  • Apocrypha Ecc 38 vs. 24,25….. and  vs.33,34…..the wisdom of a learned man cometh by  opportunity of  leisure; and he that hath little business shall become wise. How can he get wisdom that holdeth the plough, and that glorieth in the goad, that driveth oxen, and is occupied in  their labours, and whose talk is of bullocks?……..
  • Apocrypha Ecc 38vs 33,34………They shall not be sought for in publick counsel, nor sit high in the congregation; they shall not sit on the judges seat, nor understand the sentence of judgement; they cannot declare justice and judgement; and  they shall not be found where parables are spoken…….But they will maintain the state of the world, and {all} their desire is in the work of their craft.

( How are you going to know anything, if you never open your bible and are always working ?,….. don’t be stupid….read  & APPLY the holy scriptures)

2 Tim 2 vs. 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Lord forbid something should happen to you or your spouse, are you  willing and able to sustain your household, and make sacrifices if needed?  Take nothing for granted, you or your spouse could lose your source of income, whether it be for economic reasons or by sickness.

The decision on whether the wife works or stays at home with the kids, is a decision that needs to be determined based on what your family’s individual needs and circumstances   are , what you can afford and ultimately the decision made together, with the man still being head of the household….whether he is  the one working or not.
